What's it like to live in Berlin? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Whether you are foreign or native, immigrant or born here, you will find room to live and like-minded people who accept every walk of life in Berlin. The city never sleeps - even if you're walking the streets at 4am you won't be alone. On the other hand Berlin also has quiet places, which are totally different. Sooner or later everyone finds their place.

How is student life in Berlin?

There are lots of different universities and colleges in Berlin. There are an unbelievable amount of possibilities and events, where you can make connections and have fun.

How much does it cost to live in Berlin?

In general Berlin is very cheap compared to other cities, even if the rent has gone up in recent years.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Berlin? Can you give other students any advice?

Depending on the district, it can be difficult to find accommodation. If you're willing to move to the outskirts you'll notice that there is actually a lot of vacancies. WGs are a popular option.

How is the food? What's your favourite meal?

Fantastic! I've never seen another city with such an unbelievable selection. That goes for snack bars and restaurants, as well as the supermarkets.

Which places should people visit in Berlin?

I'll summarise by district; Mitte, Köpenick, Spandau, Friedrichshain, Kreuzberg.
