Holiday in Berlin, Germany

I never thought I'd get to see Berlin.

But dreams do come true.

How to get to Berlin

Well, I took the bus from the Porte Maillot in France, I travelled for 13 hours, with a 4 hour break, then I arrived at the Berlin Messe bus station. I bought a ticket to get to the centre of the city, which cost €2. 80. I had to change from the metro line U2 to the line U8, and finally I arrived at AlexanderPlatz, a very central square.

What to do there

If you're going to travel somewhere, you should have some idea of what you want to do explore there. If you don't, you'll have a lot of problems. First of all, you should plan out your time, then find all of the places you want to explore on a map. After that, take the train, the public bus, bicycles or even walk if you want. There are a lot of places you can go to explore Berlin.

As for what to do, there are a lot of thing: there are so many churches, theatres, monuments, everything is very lovely, and you can't actually stay in just one place.

Some advice

Explore the city by bicycle, because it's good for you, it's cheap and you'll see a lot more that way.

Try to only spend your money on useful things, it's no use spending money just in one city. You have to plan your trip and your expenses out properly.

Places to visit

Some of the places I'll mention are very near the city centre: Berlin Cathedral, the Museum of Science and Arts, the Humboltd University, the War Memorial, the Berlin Wall monument, the parliament, the Brandenburg Gate, the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe, the Opera house, Berlin Mall. There are a lot of museums, I don't know how I could name them or write them all down.

How to do the tour

I'd recommend renting a bicycle, it costs €12 for the day, it's a lovely experience, because the metro is more expensive than it is in France.

In total, I visited 13 places or maybe even more, but it's very good for being there 2 days.

Enjoy your ErasmusPlus experience.
