Why did you choose to go to Berlin, Germany?
Because Berlin is know as being the most cosmopolitan city in the world and I wanted to get in contact with different people.
Would you recommend the city and the University of Berlin to other students?
Yes, I deffinitely would.
What is the food like?
You can find pretty much everything in Berlin when it comes to food. The variety of restaurants and bars is so big that you will always find something that pleases you.
Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Berlin?
No.
Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available in the University?
I didn't have any knowledge of the language whatsoever so it was pretty hard to understand German at first. But the majority of people there speaks English so it helped.
What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Berlin from your city?
By plane, for sure.
Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Berlin?
Kreuzberg or Friedrichshain.
And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Berlin?
Well, if you take the U1 subway and hop off at Kottbusser Tor you can find a lot of good ones.
What good cultural sites are there to visit?
Museuminsel, Alexander Platz, Potsdamer Platz, Brandenburg Tor, Checkpoint Charlie, East Side Gallery.
Is there any other advice that you could give to future students who are going to Berlin?
Get a subway monthly pass!
