Why did you choose to go to Berlin, Germany?

It is a multicultural city, it has lot of history.

What is the student lifestyle like in Berlin?

You meet a lot of people from around the world. Berliners are more antipathetic, but still German people is so fun!

Would you recommend the city and the University of Berlin to other students?

The city is fabulous. However, I would recommend you to visit other parts of Germany. If you are willing to study German, Berlin is not the place to do so.

What is the food like?

Fantastic! German food is great, however, in Berlin, you'll find a lot of restaurants from around the world... Thai food, Italian, Chinese, Vietnamese, Arabic...

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Berlin?

Yes, it is so expensive!

How much does it cost to live in Berlin?

A small, one bedroom flat costs 700€ - 1. 000€ monthly.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Yes, there are courses. German is really difficult and Berlin is not the best place to learn it. People speak all kind of languages you could imagine due to immigration, so if you have a problem they would understand you in English or even in other languages.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Berlin from your city?

By plane.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Berlin?

There are a lot of techno clubs, however, some of them like Berghain are not easy to enter. I would recommend you to visit the pubs of the street, they sometimes have guests DJ and there's a good atmosphere.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

The Berlin's wall, the Holocaust Memorial, also museums.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Berlin in the future?

If you want to learn German I would recommend you visit other cities from Germany... Berlin is not the best place for it. If what you really want is living a multicultural city, spending time in the park with friends or wandering through the streets and shopping, then go to Berlin.
