What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Berlin from your city?

public transport. u bahn my fav. or transport Berlin welcome card is probably the best offer you can get as a tourist.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Berlin?

there are so many cool places, and as always everyone have their own opinion. unfortunately best places for clubbing stays underground and when u go clubbing a lot you get a flyer there for next events and locations.

best club i have been to in europe is in Berlin. It's in Wriezener Bahnhof, Friedrichshain, and it's called Berghain. this place is legendary for it's strict door policy. personally i failed to get into 3 times..lol entrance fee 14euro. If you are extremely lucky, it could be the craziest night of your life.

For english speaking crowd White Trash (in Alte Schönhauser Allee).. early evening they also have a restaurant, their hamburger is pretty good; and a shisha lounge. my suggestion is go there before 8p.m. when entry is free, smoke shish and hit the dance floor later.

The Tresor (Köpenicker Strasse), Although i have never been there but heard a lot about it, it was the first techno club and introduced electronic music to a Germany. institution by it's self. No idea about entry fee .

Cookies in friedrichstrasse; been there i far i remember tuesday they hav happy hour.. packed with yuppies; your kinda crowd :P) entry fee is below 8euro.

Trust (Torstrasse 72, Mitte,)is one of my fav but it's a bar rather than a club. they also have a dance floor. and it open relatively early from 8pm. No entry fee.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Berlin?

I will suggest you too try some food like Döner, currywurst, pretzel, schnitzel, German cake pastry and beer. In Kreuzberg and Neukolln there are some good turkish places to eat. Döner in Mustufa's kebab at Mehringdamm..downside is you have to wait half an hour in line. should try The Barn they have homemade carrot cake which is awesome.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

this are some landmarks of berlin where you can make some great profile photos :P
Schloss Charlottenburg, East Side Gallery (berlin wall), Alexanderplatz & TV tower, Checkpoint Charlie, Reichstag, Berlin Cathedral (berlin dom). new years eve's Party between Brandenburger Tor and Siegessäule. It's famous in europe for spectacular midnight fireworks, stage programs, live acts. http://brandenburger-tor-berlin.de/events/silvester-in-berlin/
