Why did you choose to go to Berlin, Germany?

Hi everyone! I'm going to study on master programme for two years.
Some time ago I had already spent about two weeks in Berlin and Koeln (Cologne), and thus I cannot give much info... But will share here I've already collected.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

Not yet.
For the scholarships there are a lot of databases, like DAAD, Deutschlandstipendium and other, and private foudations. Such information is usually provided by an International Office in your university - as I was said so.

What is the student lifestyle like in Berlin?

Young people there are very dynamic. You woun't be bored there, if trying to socialize.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Berlin to other students?

YES.

What is the food like?

Not very experienced yet. But everything seems usual.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Berlin?

It takes a lof of efforts.

How much does it cost to live in Berlin?

Prices do vary. It's very hard to find something below 400 or 450 euros.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Locals deal with English quite good. So, no problems for non-deutsch speaking person.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Berlin from your city?

Planes. But trains are also very popular in Europe.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Berlin?

Dunno.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Berlin?

Nope.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

I visited only the places noted on the standard city maps given by hotel administration. The city is pretty big, and there are many historical places, as well as just pretty districts.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Berlin in the future?

Collect all documents for visa and reserve a recommended money amount to open a blocked account in a german bank as soon as possible before you are given a letter of acceptance from your university.
