Why did you choose to go to Berlin, Germany?
Because I started studying German and I decided to go to study in a German-speaking country. I did some research and I realised that the universities in Berlin occupy some of the top spots in the rankings of the best universities in the world.
Would you recommend the city and the university of Berlin to other students?
Absolutely, yes.
What is the food like there?
It's good, it's not the best.
Was it difficult to find accommodation in Berlin?
Yes, it was. It's very difficult to find accommodation and you have to be very careful with scams.
How much does it cost to live in Berlin?
It depends on the area. It costs between €400 and €2, 000 a month.
Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the university?
It's difficult, but you can do it. Yes, I went on a course, but not at the university. I was signed up at the Goethe-Institut Berlin.
What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Berlin from your home city?
By plane.
Where would you recommend for a night out in Berlin?
If you're Latinx or if you like Latin music, there are two places you can go out to dance: Havana and Soda. Every month, Latin Fiesta puts on a party and they're good fun. There are a few different places with different types of music styles you can go to.
What good cultural sites are there to visit?
Berlin is a city with a lot of rich history. There are a lot of museums and historically significant sights.
