Why did you choose to go to Berlin, Germany?

Berlin seems to be a verey generous city towrads it's people. The kind of services and opprtunities Germany extends to it's students is commendable. They have taken utmost care of the requirements of peple - Be it reagding the transportations, accomodaton, jobs, food or any other basic requirements- I have nuever faced any challenge. People here are quie friendly and helpful. This is a well planned and organized city..Lot more to explore though !!!

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I am not here on scholarship.

What is the student lifestyle like in Berlin?

It's awesome..If you knwow yoour goal you have lot of avenues available to follow the path to that goal.The only challenged I face was with the language. Since I am an english speaker it was difficult initially to understand things and communicate people. But gradually I am getting in sync with it now. And German seems to be an easy language.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Berlin to other students?

Yes definitely.

What is the food like?

Oh!!That's like awesome. You have foods for all types of Hunger..There are snack shops like backwek, Ditsh etc. are readily available. Hygiene and quick customer service is what they aim at. Love it!!!

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Berlin?

Finding accomodation did not cost me anything. But yes acccomodations are quite costly here, if not a student hostel.

How much does it cost to live in Berlin?

Including rent -food and everyting 500 to 800 Euros would be enough..

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Yes langauage courses are available. Even Universities have their own foreign language courses.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Berlin from your city?

I am from India so flight is the only way I can Travel with...

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Berlin?

I have been here for last 1.5 months so did not get enough time to explore night life.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Berlin?

You get good Donersof Mustafa.(There are different outlets). Then you have very good Indian restaurants like Shaan, Amrit.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

There are many. I have been to Dresden(2 hours from Berlin by bus)..Berlin wall/museums anmd lot of places to visit..Google it!!!

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Berlin in the future?

Get the basic stuffs like slippers, converter extension board , stationaries etc. Rest get it here.cheers!!!
