'Berlin ist arm, aber sexy' - the best known quote about Berlin, well-known for its prominent gay community. Berlin isn't an industrial, business-filled city, which can shock visitors at first, it being the capital of Germany, the railway engine of Europe. In this sense, it could be considered to be a poor (arm) city. Berlin is also a city which attracts art and culture however owing to its historical magnetism and incomparable multicultural atmosphere. So, despite not being particularly economically powerful, the city remains extremely attractive. It's a city for experiencing, for living.
