Okay, so, this was the highlight of my trip, if you are going to read one piece of my trip to Berlin, let it be this; I promise you won't be disappointed, it was a truly unique experience. I don't know how else to describe it, it was the coolest and most special bar I have ever been to and honestly the staff were the best part of the whole experience; so well behaved, polite, friendly and amazing, I literally wanted to become friends with them and meet them outside of the bar. Anyways, let's get to the whole experience and stop me from drooling all over this.

Okay, so, the Fragrances Bar is located in the Ritz Carlton in Berlin and the address of this fancy hotel is: Potsdamer Platz 3, 10785 Berlin, Germany. It's really and easily accessible via public transport, just search it on Google Maps. The reason I don't include a how to get there paragraph anymore is because, well, in Berlin the metro lines kinda change sometimes and Google Maps is really reliable in Berlin. My own friend even used that for us to get to places. So, I wanna avoid all the redundance and go straight into the more important stuff.

Okay, so, we got into the Ritz Carlton, approached the reception and asked where the bar was, we were informed that it was under renovation. I was actually super disappointed because I was really looking forward to it. The super nice receptionist told us that if we wanted to try the fragrance cocktails we could try them at the hotel's other bar. I was thrilled once again and we decided to go for it. The nice receptionist showed us to the bar and asked to take our coats. He was the politest man ever. We sat at the bar, and a bartender named Christopher approached us. He introduced himself and said that he would be tending us that night. He was literally one of the sweetest bartenders I have ever encountered; everything about Ritz Carlton was perfect.

But I guess it's time to end the anticipation and actually tell you guys what the fragrances bar is all about. I mean, as you can guess from the name, it has something to do with perfumes and fragrances, but what exactly? Well, the Fragrances Bar is the first and only perfume bar in the world, where you smell different fragrances and choose your favorite. The bartender then creates a mystery cocktail for you based on your chosen fragrance. The whole process is too cool and unique. The prices of the cocktails were unique too. It costs about 14 euros to 16 Euros. I mean, yes, it is a little more expensive than what you usually pay for a cocktail but I definitely think you are paying for the experience and you can't put a price on experience or The Ritz Carlton's service. Oh wow, that was so smooth.

(The perfume selections, I don't know what was up with all the chains).

We sat down, all the lights were dimmed, candles were lit and you could see the pianist getting ready to play. We roamed around the perfumes, taking our time with each one and smelling them quite a few times. If you think that choosing a perfume is hard when you want to buy one, wait until you are choosing one for a mystery cocktail. Some of the smells were too strong for my taste, I usually like cool and weaker smells. There weren't that many perfumes, maybe less than 20 but then again I think that's because the original bar was under renovation and so they had lesser drinks available.

I don't remember what perfume my friend chose but mine was Kenzo World, I think. The names aren't too important. I want your experience to be unique, so don't just go snooping around my perfume and choose your own. After about 5 minutes of smelling all the perfumes like 20 times and then smelling coffee every 2 seconds, we settled on two and ordered our cocktails. While we waited, the pianist was playing a very chill song, setting the atmosphere in the bar and the whole place felt warm. It was full of energy and yet quiet and serene.

We got our drinks, mine came in a blue cup and it was filled with mint leaves and lots of fizz, it was something you drank by the pool in summer because you felt dehydrated. On the other hand, my friend's drink came in a bowl with a feather on top of it. Yes, an actual feather and a bowl. Just imagine the difference between our drinks, I'll post a picture of it so you can see for yourselves.

The drinks were interesting, but what was more interesting was the combination of the taste of the drinks; you haven't had a drink that tasted like this before. Now, this could be good in my drink's case and bad in my friend's drink case. Mine tasted good, like I said before, it tasted like something you would sip on while sunbathing in Bali, but my friend's one was kinda weird, it was actually like drinking a bottle of perfume and the taste was too bitter and strong. The bartender himself came from behind the bar and asked us if we like our drinks. I told him that mine was great but that my friend wasn't really enjoying hers. He asked her how she would like it to be and she said: "A little more subtle, it's too strong", and he was like "Okay, I can do that. Let's see what we got". He brought back her drink and it tasted better, not great but much better.

I mentioned that the atomsphere of the bar was one of a kind and it truly was; I loved it. The pianist was now taking songs from the customers and when he started playing again, he asked us to sing along with him. As we were doing that, the bartenders started bringing us different istruments, like small drums and a bunch of other instruments that I don't know the names of; it was pretty funny. So, we would be playing and singing along side the pianist; pretty memorable.

(The bar. I don't have pictures of the pianist, but he was awesome).

Then, the pianist asked one of his friends to join and they both started singing together, it was a duet and gosh, the lady sounded so angelic. I don't know how it was possible that she had a voice like that, but yes. And the last funny thing that happened was that my friend went to use the washroom for a second (which, by the way, was so clean that you couldn't even imagine) and while I was sitting alone, Christopher brought a teddy bear for me and put it in her seat, he's like we don't want you to be alone. The bear was so cute you have no idea, man, I actually wanted to take it home.

Overall, this night was one of the best and most unique experiences of Berlin and I totally cherish it, and would love to go back again, but this time someone please pay for my cocktails; 16 euros for a cocktai is too much. I hope you enjoy this piece, guys, and thank you for your undenying support and putting up with my jokes.

Cheers!
