Why did you choose to go to Bergamo, Italy?

First of all Italy is one of the countries which is providing free education for students from developing countries and as I am an Indian I also gets the benefits of this that's why I choose Italy for doing my masters.And why Bergamo?,this city is northern part of Italy and near to other European countries like swiserland France and Germany so if you want to visit those countries it is easy to travel from bergamo.And Bergamo is the one of the cities in Italy where illegal emigrants are less in number so the beauty of the culture and society is still well maintained.And this place is very quiet and calm you can live here very peacefully.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

As I am doing a master's program I can get two year scholarship.2000 euros for my expenses and 2000 for my accommodation like that per year I can get 4000 euros.

What is the student lifestyle like in Bergamo?

Life style is good.you can enjoy freedom and you will get much more time to engage with other activities rather than studies.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Bergamo to other students?

Yes I will recommend Bergamo.but it is not easy to get a part time job here.if your aim is only to do your degree or master's then all you are welcome

What is the food like?

University will provide one time food in a day.in University hostel you can cook in only one day.if you have money then you can eat from outside but it will be costly (as an Indian I felt very costly) so what I am doing is from the supermarket you can get fruits and bread jams (if your parents have no money)

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Bergamo?

If you are a Asian it is difficult to get accommodation here but University is providing hostel service and those who want to say outside from hostel there is a accommodation service is also provided by the university

How much does it cost to live in Bergamo?

One month 250 to 300 euros

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

University will provide free language class( I am talking about University of Bergamo).

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Bergamo from your city?

From Cochin most economical way is by air and in Air India

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Bergamo?

I really don't know about it..Mostly here shoes will close at 10 pm.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Bergamo?

There is number of Indian restaurant s are there one of the best restaurant is Shiva.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

There is a upper city and lower city.upper city is located in a hill and that place is really awesome.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Bergamo in the future?

Apply for the scholar ship and accommodation from your country itself.
