What is it like to live in Bergamo? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
I was born and raised in Bergamo. I`m 25 years old. Bergamo is a very beautiful city, especially to visit by foot. The trasportation in the city is also a good choice: bus and funicolar are always available to reach the Upper and the Lower Town easily. The city's history and the architecture are amazing.
What is the student lifestyle like in Bergamo?
It's normal, as in other average cities.
How much does it cost to live in Bergamo?
It's about 1000 €/1500 € per month.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Bergamo? Is there any advice you can give?
There are many accommodations in Bergamo: B&B, apartments, hotels... My advice is to book in advance, maybe 1 or 2 months before, especially if you have to stay for a long period of time.

I'd recommend Upper Town (Città Alta).

It's good!
Is the nightlife good in Bergamo? Where is good to go?
It's not so good. In Bergamo city all shops and restaurants stay open till midnight at max. Clubs are out of the city and you need a car to reach them.
What advice would you give future students heading to Bergamo?
Book your acommodation early! Also, learn a bit of Italian, because only a few people speak English here.
