Experience in Bergamo, Italy by Abid

Bergamo is an Italian city northeast of Milan, in the Lombardy region. Its older upper district, called Città Alta, is characterized by cobblestone streets, encircled by Venetian walls and accessible by funicular. It's home to the Duomo di Bergamo, the city cathedral. Also here are the Romanesque Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore and the grand Cappella Colleoni, a chapel with 18th Century frescoes by Tiepolo.
The city is full of architectural sites and easily accessed. If you want to live in simple place with no extra noise or rush so i will recommend Bergamo. The most peaceful city with less traffic and smoth life.

Is it good to eat out in Bergamo? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
Yes, especially on weekends and my favorite spot is:
Roof Garden Restaurant.
The Roof Garden Restaurant is situated on the eight floor of the Hotel Excelsior San Marco, in Bergamo’s città bassa. The generous view through the glass walls reveals the historical part of the town. In addition to a standard Italian menu, the Roof Garden Restaurant offers a menu of local dishes and a vegan menu. The elegance of the place makes it a perfect place for a business meeting or a wedding reception.
