Erasmus / Love of Brugge!

Hello everyone , I just compeleted my Erasmus somestr in Brugge and got back to Turkey , my home! Here are some tips about Erasmus life, enjoy it!

- First of all , seize the day/ carpe diem / live the moment. Whichever you want to use but use it! Because you only right there jut for months not much. So leave every habits you have and have brand new ones. You meet new friends and people and you don't have to pretend like you have to make people love you. You are who you are so don't try to be anyone else like you always have to do . We all know that we try to be another one just because we want to people love us and accept us . But we don't have to! And here is an opportunity to be yourself. So leave every lie you said before behind and just be you to another ones.

- Talk another language. Yes , you go to another country and learn another language. It doesn't have to be local language of the country which you go to for Erasmus. You can learn languages from the other Erasmus student who come there like you for Erasmus programme. But try to learn a language that you never interested before!

- Study! You have exams and homeworks from uni and you have to pass them with good marks don't forget. Most of Erasmus student think it's gonna be like holiday but it is not unfortunately. You have to study even more than your home uni. Because it's English homeworks so naturally it's not as easy as your own language homeworks.

- Try something new. Every time and every chance you have just use them! Go another shop to buy some different clothes , try traditions and learnd about them , make a local friend , go to a bar where have different type of music you don't like...

- Travel more. Don't wait for someone just go and explore. It can be a small village , another street , a cave , other city in same country... But travel further . And don't stop to be a adventurer. It's inside of you because you're there to be qualified and be more.

- Make good friends from another countries. If you're lucky , you will be in international class with the friends from all around the world , same as me. I was lucky so now I have more than 30 friends from another countries. I love them all. I know we will keep this relationship for years. Because believe me nobody can forget about memories from Erasmus. You can go to Europe, yo ucan travel wherever you want . But you never catch this opportunity if you're not a student in university. So before you graduate , do it! University years are the best ones in your life , realize it and turn it as a opportunity to live in another country for 5 months or more to discover yourself.

- Erasmus is the one of the best things to do yourself as a student. You can realize the power inside you , you can go further , you can do more as you can't imagine for your own. And university only lasts for 4 years , and then you have to work and live as a person who tries to survive with bills , family issues , not being late for work every morning. Before this stressful level use your brain and opportunity and become a Erasmus student.

Belgium is not the best option to spend your Eramus life for fun. But for sure , Belgium is the best one about education. They have the best universities for education , for sports activities , for social events , for international classes. Because they take care of students in country. And also you can see the most amazing cities in the world , like Brugge , Gent ,Oostende , De Haan etc. They have adorable streets , forests , roads , animals and chocolates as everyone knows about. They have really really beatiful cities. Especially I spent my Erasmus months in Brugge. And Brugge is the most beautiful city I have ever seen. I met my best friends there , I saw the most beautfiul doves and swans there , the forests , and the canals the rivers , the kindest people there... I feel so lucky to be there. I wish I can go back to the first day again and agani like a loop. If I have another chance to live that days the same I would do anything to take this chance.

Brugge universities have the international classes. And they give the most important and useful courses even if they are not related with your departmant. For example I study pre school teaching but I took different courses such as "Global issues , europe and Flandres system , politics , economics and so on. They are not interesting for me and my future job . But then I realized they are very important for us a global citizen. So if I will be a teacher , I have to be aware of everything in the world. That's why I am so thankful to the teacher who gave me these courses. Because they already changed my life in just 5 months.

If you have a chance to go to Brugge for Erasmus just take it please. YOu're not going to be regret for that. Thank you for reading!
