Why did you choose to go to Beirut, Lebanon?
Beirut is an amazing city, it is a one city for every activity. It doesn't matter where are you from, you will feel like it is your home.
How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?
I live in Beirut and I am in Spain for a semester, and by comparing both, Beirut is cheaper, and the students there will help you a lot.
What is the student lifestyle like in Beirut?
Students are very lovely, they will help you n every step, make some friends, because they will help you a lot, they have tips and tricks to enjoy beirut.
Would you recommend the city and the University of Beirut to other students?
Every city in Lebanon has its own nature and culture, and I advise you to visit them all: make sure to visit the south, and Baalbeck too.
What is the food like?
I think Lebanese food has its own reputation, it is delicious, and has a very new and good taste, I am sure that you will like it, but in case you did not, you will find restaurant serving all type of food from around the world.
Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Beirut?
This will not be a problem, because the university will take care of this, and if you want to find a place for your own, a lot of accommodation are available, and the price will change depending on the distance from university.
Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?
In Lebanon, they talk Arabic, you can take a course, but don't worry, students and people speak both french and English, you will find it easy to communicate with others.
What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Beirut from your city?
Lebanon is a small country, you will travel all around by taking the bus, and if you go to the American university of Beirut, they will take care of you in the activities.
Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Beirut?
HAMRA, ASHRAFIYE, you will find a party in every street, and if you want make your own on the street and people will join
And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Beirut?
Lebanese food s delicious.
but don't leave without trying:"Tabouleh", "Sfiha", "Homos", "Manakish"......
What good cultural sites are there to visit?
There are a lot of historical place to visit, you will see the Finician, Romanian,and a lot of other cultures.
Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Beirut in the future?
It will be an Amazing experience, make a lot of friends, get familiar with their culture.
