1 hour far from Beirut Tyre is a city in the south of lebanon,Tyre is an ancien phoenician  city and the legendary birthplace of europa and Elissa. the Tourism zone (public beaches, the old city and Souks, the ancient port), the Agricultural and Archaeological zone, and the Conservation zone that includes the Phoenician springs of Ras El Ain. Due to its diverse flora and fauna, the reserve is a designated ramsar site. It is an important nesting site for migratory birds and the endangered Loggerhead andgreen sea turtle and the shelter of the Arabian spiny mouse and many other .One of the greatest aspects of the old Roman city of Tyre is the abundance of small structures remaining around the more monumental constructs of the complex. They point to the lives of the ordinary citizens, and to the manner in which the Roman city was organized. While none of the roofs remain (they were likely made of something much more perishible), many of the walls, doors and stairways are still standing The centre of the Hippodrome has structures that appear to be the altar and obelisk that would have been for sacrificial and celebratory purposes. This isn't an expert opinion, but it's what I am supposing they were for based on what appears in Baalbek. In any case, the obelisk is one of the best preserved pieces in the entire complex.More the fishing harbour is a picturesque part of Tyre, with its brightly coloured wooden boats and old-fashioned boat repair shops. There are also a couple of fish restaurants and cafés that overlook the water and make a good vantage point for watching the scene.

More few minutes from tiro or tyre you can visit Qana where Jesus have  performed  his first miracle of turning water into wine at Qana .
