What is it like to live in Bath? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

The city is beautiful, a lovely tourist attraction, lots to do and a nice place to look around. The city is quite small so it is easy to get around, and everything you need is quite close.

There are lots of students, so many places cater for students. There is a good night life scene and lots of bars and pubs, etc.

How much does it cost to live in Bath?

Not cheap, you can find small flats for a few hundred pounds a month, but to live in a nice house in a good location it will cost around 400 pounds a month at least.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Bath? Is there any advice you can give?

It is not difficult to find long term accommodation, (for 1 year) but I don't think it is easy to find short term places. I would always try and find a place at least a few months in advance.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

There are loads of restaurants and places to eat in Bath. You can find every type of food in the city.

What places would you recommend visiting in Bath?

The roman baths are worth a visit. Also the royal crescent and the large parks. Just walking around the town centre is nice, most of Bath is concentrated there. There is also a nice park on the river.

There are many restaurants in the centre, some of the nicer ones are more expensive but well worth it. A nice italian is called Sotto Sotto, and next to it there is a greek place called Opa which is lovely.

Is the nightlife good in Bath? Where is good to go?

There are plenty of clubs and bars in Bath. I like the smaller pubs like the Raven and Bath Brew House for nice speciality ales. The Nest is a good club that often has live music.

What advice would you give future students heading to Bath?

Join many societies, take part in a lot of extra curricular stuff, especially in your first year as it's when you will have most time to spare.
