Hello again!
In this post you will find information about a place called "Asiatique". It is a night market but so much cooler. It is basically a large open-air mall in Bangkok, Thailand. It is situated in the former docks of the East Asiatic Company, and faces the Chao Phraya River and Charoen Krung Road. This was the first time I have been to a open-air mall, it is like a normal mall but open, the location is situated on top of the water. So this is cool.

You need to take a boat to get there, and fortunately it is free. Me and my friends stayed quite close to this place. The area was called Silom, so we only had to walk around 5-10 minutes to the dock to take the boat so we can cross and go on the other side where is the place Asiatique. The boats are for free as I said, you don't have to pay anything, but the open hours for the open air-mall is from 4pm to 12am everyday of the week.
As I have mentioned in my first post about Thailand, the weather is so different, it is so hot during the day and from July to October is the monsoon, when most of Thailand's annual rainfall is accumulated and flooding can ravage the country. The humidity averages just under 90%, with temperatures averaging around 29 degrees Celsius in a very wet and rainy Bangkok. Yes, really hot and humid. So just wear light clothes.
We took the boat, but we were so amazed by the way Bangkok looks at night, like really so amazing, so many building with lights and everything felt so alive and modern and I don't know, so interesting, I was so impressed by this.
Here is one of the photos I took that evening, and you can also observe in the left side, a round cicle next to the buildin, that's Asiatique. It took us around 10 minutes, I don't remeber but not more than that.
When we arrived, I really like the place. They had so many stuff there, like everything, from food to shops and entertaiment, many others also.
I love shopping so of course I just stayed there for a long time, because I wanted to see everything and buy everything! But yeah, we bought really cool stuff that I couldn't see anywhere else. For example a passport cover, personalized with your name and pins you like, colours and all that, and real leather, maybe for £2-£3. This is really cool, also bought more for some friends as a souvenir. Then we found all this cute shops with bags, shoes, and clothes. Really, the fashion in Asia is so amazing, you find so many interesting clothes and shoes and bags that I always wanted but there are not so easy to find and not at that price. I love fashion so much, so this place for me was perfect. You could find really good quality stuff like scarves made out of cashmere(which I bought also, but one of my friends bought around 7) because they were really good quality and good price. Another thing was that you could negociate the price, which was amazing. So almost for everything you could negociate. Me and my sister bought some other cool stuff like bags and scarves, small stuff and after that we went to eat.
Asiatique offers also a lot of places, mainly thai food but also italian and american-european food. But if you love food and love trying new stuff I guess you should eat as much possible thai food. It's soo good, really, I love everything that I have tried and now on my top favorite food there are some thai dishes.
Here is one place we ate, I don't remeber the name, but it was so good. They cook so different than us, with peanuts, spices, ginger and lots of other yummies spices.
And I let you guess how much it was my dish.. 5 euros? 4? 3?... 10?.... ok ok, I'll tell you.
1 euro! I know crazy right? This place was fantastic and so cheap, I mean they have different prices for several dishes but also with 1 euro. Really good food, I was so happy that I could eat thai food, really, I believe from now on that some dishes will be forever in my heart. I wish that I know how to cook this lovely food. Maybe if I tried hard enough I can!
Anyway, as I said this place was so awesome!
Really good for shopping, eating, relaxing, drinking, whatever you wanted to do you where able too.
Also in here you could find very good fakes, for bags, shoes, wallets and belts, etc. Good ones, but the prices are high so you need to negociate. They will let the prices down for you, so don't worry. Just pick whatever you like and then make yourself that you are not so interested anymore... and they'll keep on lowering the price... I know, but it's working.

I just googled this and it's a photo from above so you can see better where it is located, and also the wheel looks like The London Eye. They have many building, really interesting around Bangkok, and some of them are like a copy of the original ones. Like the Egg Building from the centre of London and few others. Looks also from this picture like New York. It's a modern city with skyscrapers and all of that. Really beautiful and interesting indeed.
