Approximately, €600-800 per month. Depends on personal needs and type of accommodation.

It can get rather difficult in September/October when the vast majority of students arrive. However, it is possible to apply for dorms in advance and guarantee yourself a place to stay.

The region is famous for its fine Leberkäse (brödla) and, of course, Bratwürst. Both are a Must-Try.

All the historical and main tourist attractions. They are incredibly beautiful and have stories behind them. Is it good to eat out in Bamberg? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

There are many restaurants in the city center and some great spots located up on the hills. Café Esspress, for example, offers affordable specials every week day. Pelikan has a wide selection of very good Asian food. For Mexican food lovers, Calimeros is a great option with All-You-Can-Eat days.

Bear in mind that the portions are quite big in most spots, but you often get the offer to take the rest home.

Is the nightlife good in Bamberg? Where is good to go?

Nightlife might be not the most popular feauture of Bamberg. However, there are clubs and bars to visit. Sound-n-Arts is a club with diferent musical events so you can choose the particular party you want to go to. Der Plattenladen is an RnB bar where you can dance and it is especially fun during the weekend. However, all the spots tend to get croweded and it's better to arrive a bit earlier.

What advice would you give future students heading to Bamberg?

The main advice is to book a room in the dorms in advance to avoid accommodation difficulties (there are many options). Don't forget that Bavaria is an expensive German region, but Bamberg (in comparison to Munich) is quite affordable for students.

Go to this lovely city and enjoy the student experience.
