Living in Baku is like living between European and Asian culture. I mean here people can find their ideal.
What is the student lifestyle like in Baku?
I must say student life not progressed like Europe.
How much does it cost to live in Baku?
Living in Baku about 1000-1200€ per month. Because full furnished apartment is expensive than Europe.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Baku? Is there any advice you can give?
Yes, here still haven't good Websites for this aimed.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
People in Baku use mostly meat.
What places would you recommend visiting in Baku?
- Old city (Icarisahar) firstly,
- Atashgah,
- Quba,
- Lahic,
- Qabala.
Is it good to eat out in Baku? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
Good restaurants is little bit expensive. Here have cheap restaurants too, but servise not ideal. My favorite spots is "Pizza inn". One normal pizza is about 5$ in there
Is the nightlife good in Baku? Where is good to go?
My favorite place for nightlife is "Jazz center". Clubs not too progressed like Europe. Progressed clubs too expensive. Also not any transport in night time.
What advice would you give future students heading to Baku?
My advice for future students is, Baku not progressed much like any Europe city right now, but progressing day by day. Old aged people don't know English mostly. If you know Russian this can work with them. Our people friendly mostly. You can come to Baku for learning new cultures. But if you coming for progress in education, your aim could fail.
