Is it difficult to find accommodation in Baku? Is there any advice you can give?

There are not many dormitories in Baku, so you will have problem with finding cheap accommodation. If you are coming to study in Baku, I recommend you to find a flat where you can share it with someone. Because it will cost too much if you'll stay alone. There are too many flats for rent in Baku, but they are not so cheap.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Food is the only thing that will not be a problem. In Baku we have cafes and restaurants for everyone. You can find anything, any cuisine you want. Most famous cuisines in Baku are Azerbaijani, Turkish, Georgian, Arabian and etc. If you will ask me about prices, so that is not a problem too. You can find meal for any price you want.

What places would you recommend visiting in Baku?

Icheri Sheher which means Inside City, sometimes we call it Old City. This is place where houses covered big historical walls. Inside it there are too many houses that stand side by side. Qiz Qalasi (Maiden Tower) is another beautiful place in citycenter. It is and old tower which you have to see.

Is the nightlife good in Baku? Where is good to go?

The best clubs in Baku are for the rich people. Another clubs I don't recommend to visit. But there are many good PUBs where you can drink and relax.

What advice would you give future students heading to Baku?

Before coming to Baku connect with someone from Azerbaijani and ask that person to teach you some rules that aren't written anywhere but you have to know it :)
