What is it like to live in Bacau? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Living in Bacau is could be exciting if you come here with friends or just you make here some. I recommend it because you can see another style of life, different from where do you usually live. Also, people are so kindly if you're in trouble ar just have some problems you can't deal with.

What is the student lifestyle like in Bacau?

The student lifestyle in Bacau is actually enough boring if you wouldn't take the initiave. If you are not an extroverted person who likes to "push the limits", be social, make some friends, like the entertainment, you definitely will ending bored. ;)

How much does it cost to live in Bacau?

Living in Bacau doesn't require spending so much money. Actually, the prices are lower than in other cities.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Bacau? Is there any advice you can give?

If you're coming as an Erasmus student, our University has dormitories where you can stay during your contract. If you dont't like living there, you can search for an appartment/ room to rent for 4-5 months.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

You can find here some traditional romanian food as: sarmale, polenta with cheese and sour cream (+onion, if you like it), etc.

What places would you recommend visiting in Bacau?

You cand go to the Cinema City in Arena Mall, or at the theatre which is situated n the center of the city, next to an exceptional coffee bar.

Is it good to eat out in Bacau? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Yes, it's a good idea especially if you're an incoming student or just someone who doesn't like to cook.

Is the nightlife good in Bacau? Where is good to go?

The nightlife could be good in Bacau if you have friends to party with. I recommend to go at the parties organized by the University or in the clubs which have contracts with out University.

What advice would you give future students heading to Bacau?
