What is it like to live in Austin? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
In my opinion, Austin is the best place in the US to be a student. There's no shortage of entertainment or nightlife, has a well deserved reputation as the "live music capitol of the world" and no shortage of people up for a laugh or a wild night out.
What is the student lifestyle like in Austin?
Quite good. There are dozens of great student bars on 6th 5th and Rainey Streets, along with fraternity parties, festivals, and concerts.
How much does it cost to live in Austin?
Varies, but is generally cheap.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Austin? Is there any advice you can give?
Not at all. There are plenty of apartments and houses for rent.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
Outstanding. They have all types. Personally I like Tex-Mex dishes and barbecue.
