What's student life like in Annecy?

Student life is good, but rather calm (there's not as much going on as there is in say Grenoble or Lyon). As Annecy is a bit like a seaside destination, there are quite a few tourists.

What's the cost of living like?

It's not cheap to live in Annecy. It's because of how close it is to Switzerland (there are loads of people who live on the border and by the lake who work in Switzerland, so the cost of living is in line with that. )

What's the food like? What are some of your favourite meals?

The food in Annecy is really good and very diverse. You can find all the usual restaurant chains, like La Guinguette, 5-star restaurants, and even a palace! ((Impérial Palace).

Where are the best places to visit in Annecy?

The old town is amazing. I'd also recommend doing the tour of the lake by the local boat company (la compagnie des bateaux) where there is an amazing restaurant onboard. It's best when the weather's nice.

There are loads of small bars/pubs in the old town!
