What is it like to live in Amman? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Living in amman has a different style , it is so mixed with the modern life style and the arabian culture ,
i do recommend to visit it , because it is from the countries that you will love it , and you'll have alot of stories and experiences to talk about after .
the city is really crowded , and the night life is really good , but u have to make sure of the places you attend .

What is the student lifestyle like in Amman?

the student life style is like every where , school and then u just go out and hang out with your friends , go to diffr\erent cafees , which you will find a lot of hookah or shisha , that both genders do smoke it .
on weekend you can go partying or attend some events or maybe go hiking and cycling beside the dead sea .,

How much does it cost to live in Amman?

well , amman is pretty expensive comparing with other arabian countries , but like 500 jd amonth is enough if u can manage your spendings ,
depends on where you go , plus youhaveto make sure that living in a country is not like visiting it for short period , so dont rush everything out ,, and spend alot of money without being aware .

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Amman? Is there any advice you can give?

no it is easy to find accomodation specially beside the unis .,,
be aware to ask about the prices , and dont be fooled if u were forigners ,

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

there is every type of food u want . italian , chinese . fast food . and arabian food
food wont be a problem cz u hv different choices ,
western food i love bufflo wings . in abdoon , its a good place to spend ur day there , eat and drink if u do drink
for sweats u can eat knafeh at habebah
and make sure to eat falafel and homus ;)

What places would you recommend visiting in Amman?

i recommend to visit ,rainbow street, dead sea ,abdoun, down town , wadi almujab , wadi rum
prego... and many other places as well

Is it good to eat out in Amman? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

yea it really is , my fav could be at ward . its right beside the holiday inn
it a cool place to visit

Is the nightlife good in Amman? Where is good to go?

it really nice , there are many lounges and clubs , for example, g6 , switch , prego , canvas ,

What advice would you give future students heading to Amman?

hmm maybe the advice would be for girls . i know its ur freedom to dress wat ever u want ,
but make sure to dress right for the right place ,
exaple , club dress is for the club , the beach is for the beacch
and fo example down town cz it is really crowded try not to wear mini stuff . for ur own sake ,so ppl wont stare or somthing , cz its like a public place
thats all ,
ohh and it taxi make sure that on the counter thing to always restart it when ever u get in
it starts from 0.030 something like that .
and on the bill make sure every thing u ordered is on it , that they didnt add any extra stuff .
