What is it like to live in Amman? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

I have been living in Amman all my life, describing Amman can be very hard since it is divided into so many different areas, I would recommend it, the city is beautiful.

What is the student lifestyle like in Amman?

It is not like other cities it is actually not that good. There's not much to do, prices are very exremely high.

How much does it cost to live in Amman?

It costs a lot, I live with my parents so I dont have to worry about rent or groceries or other basic necessities.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Amman? Is there any advice you can give?

It is very difficult to find accomodation with suitable prices, but there are student dorms only for girls

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

The food is amazing, actually beyond amazing. It's what I miss the most in Amman and I have been only away for 3 months. My absolutely favorite dish is something called " Wara'a Enab". Honestly Arabic cuisine is the best.

What places would you recommend visiting in Amman?

I would obviously recommend taking a trip to the dead sea, visit Petra, downtown of course. Uhm, Rainbow st you'll find a lot of bars and other chill hang out places.

Is it good to eat out in Amman? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

It could be good, yet costly. My favorite burger place is burger shack in Abdoun, my favorite pizza place is Pizza Lover. For traditional arabic food like hummus and flafel I like Abu jbara and for some sweet delights Habiba.

Is the nightlife good in Amman? Where is good to go?

I wouldnt say so in comparison to other countries it is bad, there are places to go out at night for instance some good bars and few good clubs though it is quite expensive.

What advice would you give future students heading to Amman?

Give me a call! But seriously, just make the most of it, Jordanians are very friendly and hopefully will make your life easier.
