What is it like to live in Ammán? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

As a Jordanian citizen who lived and worked in Amman for a while I strongly recommend this amzaing city for many reasons :

1. The weather is good except in winter it is very cooled.

2. The ancient places are everywhere especially in the old Amman center which is called ((Wast Al Balad)).

3. The people really friendly and helpful.

What is the student lifestyle like in Ammán?

there are many university in Amman like University of Jordan, Petera University and many others. The students' life is good with a good amount of and entertainment.

How much does it cost to live in Ammán?

it depends on the person between normally between 700 - 900 US dollar.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Ammán? Is there any advice you can give?

No it very easy to find a place to stay.

I strongly advice to avoid the expensive places like Abdon.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Food is fabulous and delicious specially our traditional dish ((Manasaf)).

What places would you recommend visiting in Ammán?

Wast Al Balad.

Maka Mall

Dead Sea

Wadi Rum

Aqaba

Is it good to eat out in Ammán? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

yes of course you should try Falafel and Hummus

Is the nightlife good in Ammán? Where is good to go?

Night life in Amman is not that great.

What advice would you give future students heading to Ammán?

Try to understand the culture and traditions to avoid any problems with citizen there as many of them are very conservative.
