What is it like to live in Almaty? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Well, the city is quite multinational, modern compared with other regions, great location(mountain,lakes,canyon,parks etc) Of course, I will recommend you to come and see nomads unique culture and to study)

What is the student lifestyle like in Almaty?

If you know, Almaty is like second capital city of Kazakhstan, and usually we say Almaty- student's city or city of thousand colors)Therefore,me as a student fall in love with the Almaty!

How much does it cost to live in Almaty?

Mmm,according to current currency ,I would say the cost to live in here cheap, in general.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Almaty? Is there any advice you can give?

Well, we have not got particular platform for exchange students , but I heard that the receiving university gives a apartment or room in dormitory

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

OMG, I love our national food, my foreign friends almost all love them, excluding vegans) Meat is our basic ingredient.

What places would you recommend visiting in Almaty?

I would say,main sightseeings,like natural resources is outside of city and need a tour guide) I will recommend website visitalmaty.kz official platform.

Is it good to eat out in Almaty? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Yeeap, it is good. As usual fast food restaurants are number one) you can find there anywhere, just open the map and write cafes etc, various types...My favorite spot is Rumi

Is the nightlife good in Almaty? Where is good to go?

Yes, Almaty very energetic, always busy and city of youths ) It depends on your taste.

What advice would you give future students heading to Almaty?

Be ready for variable weather :sunny cloudy rainy will be in one day))
