Hiking on Penyal D' Ifac

I went to Calpe through esn_network. It was my first trip out of Alicante and I decided to go alone. I was a bit worried but met new people on the trip.

What I loved about Calpe was the penyon or Penyal d'ifac. In India, all the mountain hikes are way too simple, the path is carved out and you just follow the way. In contrast, I loved this hike. It was sooooo dangerous!!! It really gets your adrenaline kicking.

There were some rocks that were super slippery, many rocks without even chain supports. It could more accurately be called Rock Climbing. One thing I liked was that the way was highlighted with red marks on the rocks. One thing I didn't like was there was no water points on the entire mountain!

Now about the views. The views! The view, man!! All the time during my hike, i was mesmerized by the views. I was constantly stopping and clicking pictures. I couldn't get enough of it. And then i reached the top. Man, oh man! Was it one of the prettiest views I have ever seen in my life. You could see the whole calpe and even beyond that. I think the pictures will tell a better story about it.

Finally I would like to say that this hike is not for the faint hearted! I saw people take their dogs and kids for the hike aand I was scared for them! I, myself, slipped like 4-5 times and had I not maintained my balanced, i could've been severly injured!
