There are quite a few things to do in Alicante. Besides being close to the sea, there are a few museums and the night life is said to be good. Definitely a great city to live.
What is the student lifestyle like in Alicante?
The lifestyle is quite good, there are many options to be social from language exchange to other activities like courses to cook or day trips to visit.
How much does it cost to live in Alicante?
Not too much compared to other countries. Rent: 200 to 250 € for a room or 500 € for a whole flat. Food: 40 € weekly. Transportation: 1, 45 € per ride or if you have the card around 9 € for 9 rides.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Alicante? Is there any advice you can give?
It can be difficult especially if you are on a budget or you prefer a location. It would be best to look on websites like Fotocasa or Idealista.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
The food is amazing. There are quite a lot of dishes to choose from. My favorite is the paella and arroz con costra.
What places would you recommend visiting in Alicante?
Benidorm is a popular place but very touristic.
Is it good to eat out in Alicante? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
Yes, great place to eat out. You have to be careful because some restaurants are quite expensive at the sea side but most restaurants are good people like La Piazza.
Is the nightlife good in Alicante? Where is good to go?
Yes, but no idea were to go out.
What advice would you give future students heading to Alicante?
Learn some Spanish.
