What is it like to live in Alicante? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Alicante is a good place to live because its weather is very pleasant and you can take part in diverse activities during your year in this city.

What is the student lifestyle like in Alicante?

It's great! There are always parties to go and especially in San Vicente (this is university area), you can find many great restaurants and printshops with affordable prices for students.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Alicante? Is there any advice you can give?

University of Alicante have some residence halls, but there are a lot of flats for rent with very good prices.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Food is the best! It is based on the mediterranean diet, so there is a great variety of different food and products. One of the best things, its rice (in order to make paella).

What places would you recommend visiting in Alicante?

There are some unmissable places to visit such as the Castle of Santa Barbara, the beaches, some inland and coastal villages, the old town of Alicante, La Rambla, and La Explanada.

What about eating out in Alicante? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Chico Calla, the best ice-cream you can find is in Felici y Contenti, La Terreta, Sale and Pepe in Castaños, etc.

Is the nightlife good in Alicante? Where is good to go?

El Barrio, el Golf de San Juan and Castaños during the evenings (what the Spanish call 'tardeo').
