What attracts you to living in Alicante? Do you recommend it? What's it like?

Of course I recommend it, it's my city! It is a very Mediterranean city, it's medium-sized and everything is relatively nearby. It's also easy to move around the city. Between March and October the weather is fabulous, and then from October it gets a little colder, but it's bearable.

What's the student lifestyle like in Alicante?

San Vicente is where the university campus is and the student atmosphere there is great. In Alicante, the atmosphere is also amazing because of the amount of Erasmus students that are in the centre of the city.

How much does it cost to live in Alicante?

This depends on how much you go out partying, like in all places. The cost of living isn't very high, I would say it's about average. If you get it right, you can live in luxury without spending too much.

Was it difficult to find accommodation in Alicante? Do you have any advice?

I'm from Alicante, so I can't comment on this hehe.

What’s the country’s food like? What are your favourite dishes?

It is the best in the world without a doubt. I don't have any favourite dishes as I love them all!

What places do you recommend visiting in Alicante?

Santa Barbara Castle, Postiguet beach, San Juan beach, the coves of Cabo, the Explanada, the port, the Volvo Ocean Reace area... there is lots to see!

That depends on your taste and how much you want to spend... but if you want the best rice ever, Dársena Restaurant in the port can give you just that.

Where do you recommend for nightlife in Alicante?

Mulligans, Havana and the whole of El Barrio (the old town).

Do you have any advice for future students in Alicante?

Come to Alicante! Especially if you are used to cold and wet weather, this will be paradise for you!
