Why did you choose to go to Alicante, Spain?
At the time, for the beach and the mountains.
How long did the scholarship last? How much money did you receive to help you with living costs?
It lasted for the first semester, from the 10th of September until the end of January. I had received 1, 200 euros before I arrived and they also gave me 500 euros extra after I finished my Erasmus. This depends on your home university.
Would you recommend the city and the University of Alicante to other students?
Yes, of course.
How much does it cost to live in Alicante?
In the centre about 150 to 200 euros, nearby the university about 120-200 euros.
Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the university?
There is a Spanish course available at the university.
Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Alicante?
Carpe Diem, Marmarela, Habana Catsanos, Concerto
What good cultural sites are there to visit?
Santa Barbara Castle - really cool views, and Santa Cruz street.
