Why did you choose to go to Alicante, Spain?

Because it's a famous vacation place... and I like the atmosphere here in Alicante.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Alicante?

No, not really. You can search for the accommodation on the website "easypiso". There are many possibilities and it's free!

How much does it cost to live in Alicante?

For my accommodation, it cost me 190€ per month for renting plus around 30 euros per month for the expenditure such as gas, electricity, etc. And i live in the very center, just next to Luceros and Mercado! I like it!

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Hmm..., for me is not easy, because it's totally different with my mother tongue -Mandarin chinese-, but thanks to the language course in University, I made progress with my Spanish! I'm very happy.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Alicante from your city?

There's only one choice -taking a flight-, because it's too far! And it cost me around 1000€ for round trip ticket!

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Alicante?

For Chinese restaurants, I recommend one called 小漁 Xiao Yu Té y Tapas! It's really tasty and it's relatively cheap! Highly recommend it!

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Alicante in the future?

I think it's better to learn Spanish in your own country for at least 6 months. With basic knowledge in Spanish, you will be involved in Alicante more easily! I highly recommend exchange students to live in the very center in Alicante, cause since you are Erasmus student, you won't have so many classes in University, and there is so much fun in Alicante, besides, it's more convenient to buy things, get to the airport, meet new friends, etc.
