What attracts you to living in Alicante? Do you recommend it? What's it like?
It's a very peaceful, touristic city, full of young people, mainly students, and its atmosphere is great for anyone who wants to come and study here, and even for those who may want to buy property over here. The quality of life is really good.
What's the student lifestyle like in Alicante?
It is a very interesting environment, you can learn a lot. The universities offer a variety of courses which makes it an even more exquisite university than bigger cities like Madrid.
How much does it cost to live in Alicante?
It all depends on what you are willing to spend. In Alicante, you could live with 600 euros no problem, and that's including social things as well as living costs. But it all depends on whereabouts you want to live.
Was it difficult to find accommodation in Alicante? Do you have any advice?
No, I am an entrepreneur and the truth is, I sell and rent properties in places where I have the opportunity to interact with other cultures and learn a little bit more about them.
Renting in Alicante is an excellent option, but make sure you contact people who know what they're doing as some flats and people can deceive you as they post advertisements with fake photos and also show deceptive offers to get your attention. It is better to get information from an expert.
What’s the country’s food like? What are your favourite dishes?
The food is diverse. The paella dishes are typical, but its gastronomy is wide-ranging, so you can enjoy a bit of everything.
What places do you recommend visiting in Alicante?
The Castle, San Juan beach and El Campello, as well as all the nightclubs that never sleep.
What about eating out in Alicante? What are your favourite places?
The truth is, I don't have a favourite place. It all depends on your taste in food.
Where do you recommend for nightlife in Alicante?
El Barrio (the old town), and the port. Anywhere is good!
Do you have any advice for future students in Alicante?
If you're planning on coming to Alicante to study, arrange your accommodation in advance, ask for information and photos of the whole flat, but only arrange something if you are sure the information you have received is legitimate. In that case, you can rent without having seen it in person.
