What is it like to live in Aachen? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
Aachen is a small but, very beautiful city, I could say that it is very beautiful, it is close to the borders of Belgium and Holland, its university is one of the most important in Germany, I think it is perfect for students who want both: time to learn and to party. This small town is full of history under the name of the empire of Charlemagne.
What is the student lifestyle like in Aachen?
Fortunately, there are many options that students can work on.
I can mention that during the school period (April to June and October to December) there are many parties, while during the other months all the students hide in their study rooms. Really when you have to study you take it very seriously, I like that.
How much does it cost to live in Aachen?

I recommend visiting the Pfannenzauber restaurant on Suermondplatz, where you can taste delicious local food.
What places would you recommend visiting in Aachen?
Aachen is a small city that you can visit in a day.
I recommend visiting the beautiful Cathedral of Aachen, the Palatine Chapel. Aachen Cathedral has the honour of being the first monument in Germany to be declared a World Heritage Site. Go to City Hall, downtown Charlemagne, the Puppenbrunnen or Puppet Fountain and more.
Is the nightlife good in Aachen? Where is good to go?
I recommend going to the Lousberg at night to relax and enjoy a nice view of the city. Or have a drink at Last Exit, a cozy bar on a cruise.
What I do tell you is that during exam periods there is hardly any nightlife. But during the school period there are several every day.
