What is it like to live in Aachen? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
I grew up in a village about 15 minutes from Aachen and I love it. It's a rather small city but with a lot of history, beautiful buildings and a lot to do. The most important sights in Aachen are the cathedral, the town hall and also the hot springs.
What is the student lifestyle like in Aachen?
Aachen has a great district for students with many restaurants, bars and clubs, it's called Pontviertel. The RWTH is Aachen's biggest university with many students from all over Germany.
How much does it cost to live in Aachen?
Compared to other big cities in Germany as Munich or Berlin, Aachen is a quite reasonable place to live.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Aachen? Is there any advice you can give?
Due to all the students, it can be hard to find accommodation in Aachen unless you're willing to pay a little bit more.
What places would you recommend visiting in Aachen?
I would recommend to visit the cathedral, the town hall, Pontviertel, a visit at Carolus Thermen and to enjoy the view from Lousberg.
Is it good to eat out in Aachen? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
My favorite restaurant in Aachen is Louisiana, an American-style restaurant, but I also like Sausalito, Vapiano and Nudeln&Co.
Is the nightlife good in Aachen? Where is good to go?
To just enjoy a drink you can visit one of the bars in Pontviertel. Clubs in Aachen are Starfish, Königskeller, Abendrot or Image.
