What is it like to live in Toulouse? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Toulouse is one of the best French cities to live in for students. It's also one of the most famous ones. The old houses in the city center are made of red brick, and many places are nice to visit through all the seasons.

You need to look at least three months before your arrival. Flats are about 400/450 euros to live by yourself, and they are smaller in the city center than around it (ramonville, Purpan, Jolimont…).

Gastronomy in Toulouse is sacred. You need to try the famous Cassoulet made out of Haricots tarbais. Many restaurants are famous for their hearty dishes. For example, you can try "l'Entrecote", where they serve an unique menu, with tender meat and a secret home made sauce, and french fries served with a salad.

Le Capitole is the most famous place in Toulouse, but the Jean Jaures allée, place Wilson and les berges de la Garonne are also nice places to visit. It's a city where you can easily go cycling (velib') or walk through small streets and find it beautiful.
