Grenoble is a nice and quiet city with some of the best engineering schools in France.
This is the place for mountain lovers since you could go biking, hiking or skiing very easily.
Indeed, the closest ski resorts are 30 minutes away from the city center.
Partying is not the strongest point of Grenoble, but student night life is very active, except during the holidays period.
