How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

Regarding the money, in my own case, I received help from my university in Italy. The scholarship's duration depends on how many lessons you have to attend.

What is the student lifestyle like in Duisburg?

I was an Erasmus student and Erasmus students life is mostly in Essen.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Duisburg to other students?

I spent a really nice time in Duisburg, but sincerely speaking because of the people I met there.... the city is not so alive, and I can't say it's a nice city, but if I think to the moments spent there, my eyes still shine....in the end, yes I would suggest Duisburg!

The kebab in the haupthbahnof (Innenstadt seit) was fantastic, Kammerstubchen in Bismarckstrasse was really good and not expensive, but most of the time we ate together with the other Erasmus's.

No, I got an apartment from the university.

At the beginning, the language does not appear that friendly, but the university offers some courses that help you, and you can train your German in the daily life... I think that at the end of your experience you could speak pretty good German.

With the VRR card (I really hope for you that it still exists) travelling in a specific area (enough big to move to Essen, Dusseldorf, Holland) is completely free!
