Important:
Tenants who have lived in the apartment for less than one year may terminate the tenancy in writing with three months' notice. In principle, notice can be given at the end of any month. However, the following special rule applies to these tenants: terminations that are issued after March 31 of a year and are intended to end the tenancy on June 30 are not permitted. In this case, the tenancy is automatically extended until July 31 and the rent for the month of July must be paid in full. [Example: If a contract termination notice is received by us during the month of April 2024, regardless of which day of the month, the tenancy will end on July 31, 2024]. Tenants who have lived in the apartment for a year or longer can terminate the tenancy in writing with three months' notice.
