Firstly, please grab the following documents. You’ll need them in the next stage of your application, and you won’t be able to make a booking without them.
Landlords in Berlin need proof of identity and proof of income to make an informed decision about who will be living in their property. Your documents will be securely stored in our database and only be seen by the landlord, never other tenants.

- Payment method: bank transfer (The deposit must be transferred to the landlord at least 2 weeks before you check-in.)
- Admin Fee: 100 Eur for rooms, 150 Eur for apartments/studios,to be paid at the beginning of your tenancy
- Check-in/out between 9 and 12 am: Monday-Friday except bank holidays

Before moving in, tenants must provide proof of a valid personal liability insurance (“Haftpflichtversicherung”). This insurance covers damages caused to the apartment or to third parties. It is highly recommended in Germany and often included with personal property insurance (“Hausratversicherung”). Without it, keys cannot be handed over."

Confirm with the landlord your move-in date and the key collection date. For security reasons, Erasmusu will not send your payment to the landlord until 48 hours after your arrival, so you will have time to contact us if there is any problem.
