If you would like to go to Potsdamer Platz or to Kurfürstendamm for shopping, dining or sightseeing, it is a 15-20 minute walk  or you can use public transport to get there in 5 minutes.  All shops you need are in walking distance on Potsdamer Straße or Winterfeldtplatz. The famous KADEWE department store is located on the Kurfürstendamm.
