Hi everybody!

I am an Erasmus student as you guess. I am in Zaragoza now and I will share my experience about Erasmus and Zaragoza.

I can start with my first day. My plane landed in Barcelona first then I had to go Zaragoza. I went Zaragoza by train, unfortunately (but don't use train because it is really expensive - 70 euros). You can use bus, it takes 3 hours from Barcelona to Zaragoza and it is only 15 euros. Anyway, when I went to Zaragoza, an old lady helped me to find my flat. Everybody in Zaragoza is really kind, smiling and helpful. However there is a problem if you don't know Spanish. Because to find someone who can speak English is really difficult. So if you have a chance, learn Spanish before coming to Spain (because when you come here, you will see everybody tells you that you should learn Spanish, Spanish people are very insistent about it). But even if people can not speak English, they are trying to help you so don't worry about it.

About accommodation, you can find proper flats (which are really well equipped) near the campus. You can search from the web side of university or some group in social networks. Just be careful about whether everything is included in the price or not. The average payment for rent can be 250 euros (everything included).

Well, actually Zaragoza is a really small city. You can go everywhere on foot. But if you want to take bus, you need a card for transportation (it costs more or less 15 euros. If you have that card, you pay just 70 cent, but if you don't, the price for a bus is 1 euro 35 cent).

Also one of the important thing that you should know about Zaragoza is the siesta! Yes, this tradition is still alive in Zaragoza. You should pay attention to it, because most of the stores and markets are closed at that time and sometimes it can cause some problem if you have immediate concerns. Besides siesta, the closing time of stores is too early (like at 9 pm all stores are closed, you can only find several markets after 9 pm). But all disco and bars are open till the morning.

"Fiesta" can be the only activity for young people because almost every day there is a party especially for Erasmus students. Anyway these can be basic things about Zaragoza I will share more experience about the place which are worth to see, what you should try... etc.

Stay follow- up.
