Erasmus 2010/11
Zaragoza is not a very touristic place, therefore it is a really nice city to live in. The center of the city is amazingly beautiful, with the huge plaza del Pilar and the surroundings.
And with the roadwork, I have to say that the streets from Paseo Gran Vía to Parque Grande have become really enjoyable :) My Erasmus there was a great experience.
Since the Expo 2008 I think that Zaragoza has link with all Spain. By bus you can be in Valencia, Madrid or Barcelona in 4 hours (1. 30 by train) and the airport has planes flying to Paris, London, Milan, Sevilla, Alicante...
The rent are not as cheap as you might expect them to be, but the food really is, at least comparing it to France. I recommend the city for everyone that is not looking for a big metropolis (yes, it is no Barcelona... but at the same time I think that you can have an experience more authentic) and don't want to be stuck one year in a small city far from everything either.
The people are nice, university too (but don't think you won't have to work... ) and well, the weather is clearly nicer than where I come from, although it's really cold in January. Oh, and the wind is awful; ) (Damned cierzo).
