Why did you choose to go to Zadar, Croatia?

A small University can give you the possibility to have a one-to-one relationship with professors/researchers which in my case is a plus. Also I've seen that they are interested in my research area (which is pretty new).

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

1 month. I will get around 1000 dollars for all my expenses (accommodation, travel, etc. ).

Recommendation: if you don’t want to live in the student campus you should find yourself a cheap accommodation, because this is one of the expensive part of this mobility program.

What is the student lifestyle like in Zadar?

It is fine.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Zadar to other students?

It is not a big university but people here are very nice and well prepared in their area. Also the city is not very big (if you come from an capital city you'll find it very small). There are some things that you can do like play football, tennis, badminton, etc.

How much does it cost to live in Zadar?

The prices are similar with most of the normal European cities (not those very expensive like London or Paris for example).

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

If you pay attention you may find some similarities with other languages, but since it is a touristic city everyone speak English, so you don't have to learn the language.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Zadar from your city?

By car. The airplane is pretty expensive and usually you don't have a direct flight; same with the train.

I recommend going on a night out to the old town.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Zadar in the future?

You should come when it's hot outside, so you can go to the beach.
