Erasmus experience in Warwick, United Kingdom
Why did you choose to go on Erasmus to Warwick in the UK?
The university of Warwick is one of the best all over England and very appealing courses were there.
How long does the scholarship last for? How much money are you provided with?
Little. The UK are super expensive and the scholarship I have been given is only sufficient in some small way.
What is the Erasmus student life in Warwick like?
Although students are straight-A, qualified and attentive, they're also partygoers, both in the student homes on campus and in those off campus.
Would you recommend the city and the university of Warwick to other students?
Yes, definitely. The city of Coventry, however, is not that show.
What is the food of the country like?
Poor quality. Of course it cannot be compared to the Italian food, but you sort it out.
How did you manage to find accommodation?
The university offered me accommodation on campus.
How much are the flat rents on average? How are prices in general?
The rent of a flat can be high, on average 80/90£ per week for a single room.
How is it going with the language? Did you take any language class at the university?
Pretty well, the language certainly improves more and more. Yes, I did take
classes such as Comparative Literature, Language and Translation, and Italian History.
What is the cheapest way to reach Warwick from your city?
It depends on your luggage. Ryanair's prices are favorable, but the excess of luggage is extremely expensive. If your suitcase is regular sized it is definitely convenient, otherwise you'd better fly with different airlines like the British airlines.
Where do you suggest going out at night?
The closest town is Coventry where there's a disco called Kasbah. Otherwise you can go to Birmingham or to other towns nearby.
And how about eating out in Warwick? What are your favorite places?
Inside the campus my favorite places are Durty Duck and Xanana (Mexican).
What do you suggest visiting?
England is all to be seen! Nearby lays the castle of Warwick, Stratford-upon-Avon. In two hours you get to London, Manchester and Cardiff.
