The Night Life in Warsaw

Turning now to the core of the nightlife, I have no idea where to start, so I will list some of the most well-known places between students and my experiences with some of them.

Multipub: It was the first pub/club that I went to on my second day of arriving in Warsaw. The place was nice, with a colourful dance floor where the Poles rarely "dance" and I was dumbfounded watching them dance in the bar with a beer that I remember costing 8 złotys for half a litre. It is Sunday's club but you can go any day and even throughout the day if you want a drink or to chat with friends as they have places to sit and chat and a garage for smokers which is more than 2 metres from the outside.

Remont: it is Tuesday's club and is found in the Student House Riviera (blue building) only a few metres from the metro stop "Politechnika". In here you can enjoy and an interesting beer-free bar (in cans) until 1 in the morning, so it's great if you go early and make the most of it.

Park: It is the quintessential nightclub in Warsaw, the must-do on Wednesdays for Erasmus students, as its name suggests, it's in the middle of a park, near the metro stop "Politechnika" and bus 167 drops you almost at the door.

The club itself is good because it isn't a hardcore club but it isn't boring either. There is an area with seats to chat, a dance floor, a smoker's terrace and/or to rest although it's more logical to refresh inside the club. The place also plays reggaeton music (after 3 or 4 shots there is no shame! ) and it's a bit different from all the others which place electronic music.

Another important point in terms of this club is that there is a beer-free bar until 1 in the morning, of course, you can empty your glasses half-way through the evening and wait for the waitress to fill your beer glass up with half foam to get a precious beer. Hopefully you can get there during that lucky half an hour that they give out the beer, but don't get there too early, before 22. 30.

Other clubs that you can go to the other days (Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays) are Organza, Sketch, Bank that can be found on the same street and are fun to go to, depending on what you like. I would say that for Bank, you would have to wear a shit and so the Spanish are screwed; in Sketch, the electronic music is a little monotonous but they offer free waffles on the way in, or any time you like; and finally Organza, which is very nice and everything you want, and just in case, they put 3 or 4 dancing girls on the stairs so people just look and little more.

Special mention Opera, which is like an underground club among caves, with all kinds of details and really nice surroundings, but with the drawback that whenever I have gone in it's been dead. In addition, the drinks are so expensive! The Poles aren't very clever... with the zloty nonsense money goes quickly.

And finally Kapitol, a huge club, with decent prices, good music, good atmosphere, an upstairs to drink and chat and a downstairs where you're able to dance. The club has many good qualities that make it stand out, in particular, the colours.

*All the clubs have a cloakroom so you can leave coats, because all of them have heating and it's only 2 zlotys, although in Park for example, it's included in the entrance fee.
