What is it like to live in Vitoria? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
It is wonderful to live in Vitoria. I would absolutely recommend it. It was European Green Capital in 2012. Nice city with lots of green spaces, ideal to practice outdoor sports. Really nice people and lot of party.
What is the student lifestyle like in Vitoria?
Parties on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Lots of cultural and sports offers.
Pintxopote on Thursdays and Saturdays.
How much does it cost to live in Vitoria?
Very cheap in comparison with the rest of Europe.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Vitoria? Is there any advice you can give?
There are lots of student flats. It will not be difficult to find accommodation.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
Mediterranean and Basque food. Bueno, bonito y barato. All the dishes are delicious, try them all.
What places would you recommend visiting in Vitoria?
The green ring around the city; Santa María cathedral (Ken Follet's 'World without end' is inspired on it); Basque Parliament and Government (Vitoria is the capital of the Basque country), Artium Museum, Cards Museum, salinas de Añana (UNESCO World Heritage); Paseo Vasco Navarro (UNESCO World Heritage).
Is it good to eat out in Vitoria? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
All are good. Do not miss Pintxopote (beer or wine plus good food for 1 euro) on Thursdays and Fridays.

What advice would you give future students heading to Vitoria?
Vitoria is a perfect city for Erasmus. There will be no difficulties to adapt to it.
