The best places for partying in Vigo

Vigo is a city with quite an active nightlife. The people there usually go out on Thursdays, Fridays and on Saturdays.

On Thursday nights, it tends to mostly be the students who go out, as they don't have classes on Fridays and even if some of them do, they go out anyway. The student parties are usually held in local bars, since most of them are saving up to go travelling at the end of their degrees. A typical Thursday night would usually start at a cheap local bar like Maracaibo (on Calle Velázquez Moreno) where drinks cost 3. 6 euros, or La Graciosa (on Calle Uruguay below Churruca) where you can buy two litres bottles of drink with ice for only 24 euros. You could also go to Trastevere near La Graciosa, on the stairs leading from Calle Uruguay to Santiago de Vigo.

These bars are ideal for having your first few drinks and for enjoying good music. The people who go there are usually pretty calm and there tend not to be any problems in these places. On a typical night out, people stay here until about 2 or 3am.

If you prefer, you can go for a few drinks along the seafront in bars such as One, Twentieth Century Fox and Seven, and you'll find more perpendicular to this area. You pay more to get drunk in these places however. You can always continue your night out at these bars.

The best-known club among the students is Loft, on the same street as La Graciosa. It has two rooms with different kinds of music playing in each, and the entry fee is 5 euros which includes a free drink. Loft closes at 5am, and Embassi and Quomo, located in front of the Maristas School on Calle Venezuela, close later. There are lots of other clubs but I don't really recommend them. To be honest, it depends on what you're into.

Here's the link to the website where they post the photos taken of you and your friends on nights out. Remember that everyone always looks gorgeous in these photos, whatever state you're in at the time!
